So the wee ones have decided that sleeping through the night is for the birds. Since they were 2 months old, May 19th to be exact, they have both been sleeping in their own cribs, through the night with no middle of the night feedings. All of a sudden, they have decided that they do not want to go to sleep on their own and they sure as heck do not want to sleep through the night. For the last week, Chance has been waking up on the dot at 2:35AM. Yes folks 2:35am and not a minute sooner, not a minute later. What? 2:35AM????? You are supposed to be sleeping til at least 7am. Not sure what is going on, but he wakes up screaming!!!! The video monitor of course is on MY bedside table and I immediately jump up when he starts to scream and run in there. When I go in, he is screaming and rubbing his face looking for his paci! So the routine is: try the paci, if that doesn't work, try patting him on his back, if that doesn't work, pick him up with a paci in his mouth and pat him on the back...aaaahhh exactly what I wanted Momma! Until you try to put me down again, I will scream. Not sure what is up with him, but it seems to be his evening ritual these days. How do I break this? Is it a phase? Please someone tell me it is a phase!

Now the pink wee one...she has decided that she cannot go to bed on her own. Naptime is no problem, she starts rubbing those eyes and gets fussy, off to bed she goes, cries herself to sleep and she is out within just a couple of minutes. Now, she has decided that standing up in her crib on her bumper pad and screaming for 2 hours is a much better choice for nightime. Going in there to remind her that I have not "abandoned" her (like all of the books say to do) is the wrong thing to do! She gets even more upset and throws even more of a fit. She throws pacis, blankets, animals, you name it, it's on the floor by the time she has finished her fit. She is so hard headed..if she does not want to go to sleep, she is not going to sleep. 9 times out 10, once she is asleep, she will stay asleep, but getting her to actually close those big hazel eyes is the challenge. She has decided that she wants to be held or lay down with me until she is in a comatose. Seriously! It is killing us! I dread the evenings about 8:30 in the Forey house! HELP!!!! Any suggestions?

Just random pics I do not thimk I have posted! Enjoy! Have a great weekend bloggers!!!
