Galveston Photo Shoot

For Mother's Day, we surprised my Mom with a family photo shoot. It is so hard to get photos of her with her 3 grandbabies, so we decided to hire someone to help out. This weekend we had our favorite photographer (no, not me...our other favorite photographer) Adria meet us on the Strand to take our family photos. The Carnes (B, Steph and Hudson), Nana, and the Foreys were all there! We had a lot of fun! It was a little warm, but the weather was gorgeous and we got some great shots! The Wee Ones had their moments of course, but all in all they did pretty well. Thank goodness for Adria and her patience, she just lets them do their thing...crying, laughing, smiling, not smiling, crawling around, whatever....she captures it.

We found this great red wall in an old parking lot and it was perfect. You know me and my bright colored walls, that is my thing. The older and rustic, the better! As you can tell, they had their moments. Aunt Steph was feeding them ice in between takes, so they were pretty content here, but starting to get very hot! Everyone loves the crying photos, so there you go! One cries, they both cry...that is what happens at our house daily!

Movin' on.......

At the end of the session, we decided to head over to this cute little ice cream shop. It was very, cute, old fashioned with the soda fountains and the little soda shop tables. Adorable! They had mini tables for the kids, so we decided "what a great photo opp". The 3 kids sat at the table, we handed them ice cream cones and they went to town. Mind you, I am the "food Nazi" (as I have recently been titled) and I do not allow the Wee Ones to eat junk, but for the perfect photo opp, I will do anything. So I gave in and let B&C have an ice cream cone and they were lovin' it. After a couple of minutes of holding the cone, Chance decided that he could not hold the cone and eat it too, so he just plopped the cone on the table and started licking the ice cream off the table. PRICE-LESS!!! It was so funny! Hopefully we got some good shots of that! It was great!

It took everything I had to not freak out about germs though, but I did very well. I was pretty proud of myself, and just let them do whatever for a few minutes. They had ice cream EVERYWHERE!!!! But it was worth the cute shots and great memories!

Look at this handsome natural! He was a ham in front of the lens and the camera was lovin' him! He did a great job! I see a future magazine cover here!

Stay tuned for many more!!!! Once again Adria..thanks again for the FABULOUS photo shoot!
