Rough Night...to say the least!

Oh my..what a really bad night we had last night. Thank goodness we ended up staying with my Mom's because Brynlee was up all night fussing like a mad woman and nothing seemed to satisfy her. I went to get my hair did last night..(Thanks Cousin Dana) and Nana watched the Wee Ones for me. When I got there, they were both fast asleep, so I decided to just stay there. I do not like being at home by myself while Big Pappa is working graveyards. I am a big weeny, I know! Around 11pm, B woke up crying, so I went in to see if I could soothe her and get her back to sleep. But it was a No! We played for a little bit, I held her and loved on her and she seemed to be okay. I finally laid her back down and she laid straight down, but that lasted about 1 minute. She was up screaming again. She felt like she might be running a low grade fever. She was tugging on her ear, rubbing her eyes, throwing tantrums, and on and on. From about 11pm to 4am, she cried terribly. Mom and I both would rock her, changed her diaper, let her play, laid down with her, rubbed her back, rubbed her belly, gave her Tylenol (off brand), everything. We even let her eat a graham cracker at 3 in the morning. Nothing was working. I was getting a little worried that maybe she was getting an ear infection from swimming last week. FINALLY I realized, "Duh, she may be cutting a tooth." (Why didn't I think of that a 11pm, instead of 3am) Sure enough, she has a tooth in the very back coming through and she went ballistic when I rubbed it. Out came the Orajel and the teething tablets. But by this time, she was so exhausted and fighting sleep, that it just turned into a screaming fest from being overly tired. After about 30 more minutes of screaming, I couldn't fight with her anymore, so I put her in bed and she screamed long enough for me to close the door, get back in bed, and she was out like a light. Poor baby, I felt so bad that I did not check her teeth earlier, but I think I was just so tired, it didn't cross my mind soon enough. So needless to say, I am one tired Momma this morning! Wish us luck with this tooth! It is #11 and it is a doosie!!!
