Recovery Day 1

Hudson spent his first night in CVICU and did very well. He is a strong little guy. Last night he had a little bleeding and his blood pressure was a little high due to some pain that he was feeling. They gave him some platelets for the loss of blood and after some pain meds were given, he started to improve. Throughout the night, he developed a little fever (which they warned us could possibly happen), but as of this morning it has started to break. He is in and out alot, asking for Momma and shaking his head "yes" or "no" in response to a question. So he is responsive. He looks great and will hopefully have the ventilator removed in the next few hours. They want him to wake up some and be a little more responsive then where he is now. Alicia (my brother's sister in law) and I sat in with him this morning, talked to him and rubbed his hands, feet and head. After a while, he did not want Alicia touching his hand and pulled away from her, so when I asked, "Do you want me to stop rubbing your head?" He shook his head "yes" Too funny! He was tired of his aunts rubbing on him. HA! Bryan and Steph are doing great and holding up well. They have both been very strong through this whole process! They are just ready for him to be off the ventilator and in a room on his way to recovery and coming home.

Please continue your prayers for his recovery time to go smoothly! Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers! Keep them coming!!!
