If it were up to them, they would eat for every meal bananas, Cherrios, and blueberries. Maybe the occasional piece of chicken or turkey. But if there is green, yellow or orange on their plates, it is a "no"! So now I am on "Operation...Eat Your Veggies". A mission to figure out how to get some veggies in the Wee Ones and feel good about it. I do feed them Little Blends yogurt which contains veggies in some sort of form and they love them. Probably because they can feed themselves with a spoon. But is a container of Little Blends "enough of a serving on a daily basis?" is what I am struggling with.
I know that toddlers go through all sorts of phases at this stage and one is their eating habits, but I am so scared of them developing bad eating habits. I have always said that I was not going to have children that only eat chicken nuggets and I hope to succeed at that. If I let the Wee Ones control their own eating, I will have babies that look like this:
HA!!!!
Any other Food Nazi Moms out there? If so, HELP!!!!! How do I get these babies to eat more veggies??? Is this a pointless battle that I will not win? Is it just a phase? Do I just keep feeding them the veggie yogurt? Any good advice would be helpful! BUT.....I do not want any criticism, I am feeding my children healthy because that is my responsibility has a good parent and it is important to me. So if you are just going to tell me..."they are kids..leave them alone" leave your comments to yourself! If you only feed your children chicken nuggets and french fries..leave your comments to yourself!!! HELP!!!!!!
