Mommy's Proudest Moment
Ok, as a Mom, I have often thought to myself, "What will be the proudest moment of my life when it comes to the twins?" Their first steps? Of course, that's a huge milestone Their first word? Sweetest noise to a Mommy's ears Her first dance recital and his first strike out pitch or home run? Absolutely, the start of both of their money making careers The day they graduate from high school and go off to Harding University (hint, hint)? Uh yeah, now Daddy and Mommy have their clean house back The day they accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior? Nothing could make me prouder But at this very moment...I am the proudest Mommy I could possibly be. Our bedtime routine with the Wee Ones is baths, brush teeth, 2 books, family prayer time, lots of kisses and a family hug, then it's lights out. So our prayer that we repeat EVERY night, is the usual..."thank you Jesus for my Mommy, Daddy, Bubba, Sissy......" grandparents (all by name), aunts, uncles, cousins, dogs, body parts and so on you get the picture So of course we end our prayers with, "In Jesus' name, Amen." As I am ending the prayer, I hear a sweet little voice say, "Jesus" (that was Chance) and another sweet little voice say, "A--MEN" (Brynlee). If that did not melt a Mommy and Daddy's heart, I do not know what could!!! Our children knowing about Jesus is extremely important to us and just by the fact that they are listening to the same prayer over and over with familiar names they hear on a daily basis and they repeat the 2 most important words in the prayer, makes me feel like I am doing something right! We may not be perfect parents, but raising our children to know the Lord makes us the type of parents that God wants us to be and I could not be prouder at this very moment! Brynlee and Chance, Daddy and I will do everything we can to raise you to know and love the Lord and follow in His footsteps every step of the way! We love you and could not be more proud of you!
