2nd Birthday Bash

Our Wee Ones....I guess they are not Wee Ones anymore....turned 2 years old and we cannot believe it. We had another huge bash this year and it was again a BIG HIT!!!

Our theme was Elmo and Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street. These two have become fixtures in this house and are talked about daily at our house. They are the Wee Ones BFFs and they love these two dearly. I have always said that I did not want to have character birthday parties until I absolutely had to...but they are so in love with E&A, that I just could not pass it up. The color scheme was so fun...purple, pink and aqua for her and yellow, blue and red for him. Already decided that next year there will be NO blue or red involved...so over that color combo! HA!

Here is the Most Handsome 2 year old I know. He is not a huge fan of the camera, so we are always excited to just get a shot of his face and not the top of his head! He is cute no matter what though! He was loving his Elmo shirt and would look down occasionally, point and say, "Emo, Emo!" So precious!!!

The Birthday princess was priceless the whole party. She was loving all of the tulle, pink, frills and girls. She loved her party and smiled most of the day! I am in LOVE with this photo and have already purchased a canvas of this print for our family room! My mother in law Patti made this dress for Brynlee and once we got it on her...she did not want to take it off. She calls it her Abby dress and loves it!!!!

I went a little crazy on the decor and by the time the party was finally here, I was so sick of purple, pink, red and blue, I did not want to see another Abby or Elmo. But I had so much fun making the party hats, banners, and party favors. My step mom Holly once again made some amazing and delicious cakes. It is such hard work and it takes her days, but she does an amazing job and we cannot imagine a birthday party without her cakes. My good friend Michelle bought a new fun machine, the Cricut cake machine and was sweet enough to try her new machine out on Elmo and Abby. It took us FOREVER...but the cake toppers were all handmade by Michelle and I. Thanks Michelle for the gum paste decor and thanks Nana Holly for the delicious cakes!

Since Abby is a fairy in training, i decided for the girls to each have tutus, fairy wings and wands to enjoy. I set up a hope chest (my grandmother's chest) and filled it up with the dress up items and the girls had a blast. Even the big girls had a little fun with the fairy dress up! heehee! I headed to Goodwill a few months back and bought a cheap horrible mirror to help out with the decor. I cleaned it up, sprayed painted and decorated it like a garden fairy. It turned out so cute and was a huge hit. They all look so cute don't they? Thanks again to Patti for the tutus!!!!

We had tons of guests at the party and we were so excited to share our day with everyone that we love!!!!! Here are 3 of our most favorite guests....Hudson, Kaylon and Kolbie!

Brynlee and Chance had so much fun opening all of their gifts, but there were 2 gifts they opened that totally distracted them and they were no longer interested in the rest of the gifts. Not only does Chance love Elmo, but his newest BFF is BuzzLightyear. He LOVES Toy Story and would watch it all day if we would let him. he has been carrying a book around for a few weeks now and when I realized that he was really starting to love him some Buzz, we called grandparents and said...."Ok large BuzzLightyear for his birthday!" So Papa Moose ran out to buy Buzz and this little guy could not have been more excited to see the Space Man. His was smiling from ear to ear the second he saw him. His new BFF!

Miss Priss is taking after her Momma and always has a camera in her hand. She is always getting a hold of our camera and taking photos, so our sweet photographer bought her a camera and she was so excited. She takes pictures of EVERYTHING! cannot tell you how many pictures we have of the ceiling, her face up close, his feet and half of our faces. So funny! She will get it and I hope she develops a huge passion for it!

My bestie Tam has an amazing talent for painting. A few months back, I told him that I had always wanted him to paint something for me and it just never happened. Well now, with having our babies, I really wanted something from him in our babies lives. Told him I wanted something for their primary colored playroom. Something really boyish, straight lined and clean for him and something really girly and fun for her. And this is what he came up with........

Amazing uh??? i am so in love with these that I cannot stand it!!! I smile every time I look at them and cannot wait to get our playroom completely finished with these hanging on the walls. Thank you so much Matt....it means so much to have something that you did especially for them.

Thank you to everyone that celebrated our babies turning 2 this year. A HUGE shout out to my Mom for helping me decorate all day, shopping all year to prepare, and supporting my crazy, obsession for party panning. Thank you to my in laws for their beautiful yard and letting me totally take over their home for 3 days and for supporting my crazy lavish ideas and to Patti for living in tulle for 6 months!!! Thanks to my Step Mom for the amazing cakes...as usual they were adorable and delicious and to Michelle for the gum paste toppings. And most of thank you to my husband for allowing me to be the crazy, over the top birthday Mom that I have always wanted to be!!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday my sweet angels and I cannot wait to start on #3!!!! yes....i already have the themed picked out!
