A Day at the Zoo

Nana bought us and the Carnes Family zoo passes for the summer, so we decided to head with Nana to enjoy some zoo time. The twins had so much fun and it was a gorgeous day! We headed straight to the Children's Petting Zoo and wanted to see how they would react. After our last episode with the petting zoo at school, I was a little nervous. They did so well. I took Chance in at first by myself and he was a little unsure about it all. He did not want me to hold him, but he did not want to go near the animals at all. I jept trying to get him to pet them and he would just scream and pull away. Nana decided to bring Brynlee in after a little convincing and they grabbed a brush to brush the goats. She was all about brushing the animals and immediately grabbed the brush from Nana and headed off.

She did so good and was so brave......I was really proud of her. She would just kind of swipe the brush along the goats back and them quickly step back. But at least she was walking around and not screaming bloody murder. Chance was so brave as well and went straight up to the animals to brush them. After watching Sister do it, he knew he could do it too.

I was a little skeptical about him charging toward them head first, but the goats did not seem to mind and would just let him brush them. We were so proud of them and are hoping that we are turning a new leaf in the animal department. Keeping our fingers crossed!

Tried to take a photo of the 4 of us together and all I got was Mom's face, so a nice lady walking by stopped and asked if she could take our picture. Of course not everyone would cooperate!!!

She thinks she is so big and walked around the whole zoo all by herself. She was posing all over the place and loved looking at all of the animals outside of the stroller. But not Chance, he was perfectly content hanging out in the stroller.

Here is Brynlee by the end of the day.......

and here's Chance! He was exhausted! Riding in the stroller is hard work! HA!

We had a wonderful day and cannot wait to have many more visits this summer! Thanks Nana for the zoo passes!!!
