This is so late...I am so embarrassed, I almost did not post. But since I am using this blog to chronicle our sweet miracles lives, I thought it was a MUST to include their First Christmas!!!
Our baby's' first Christmas...what a long time we have waited for this!!!! Daddy had to work Christmas Day (can you say double time and half pay!! WHOA!!!) So we were a bit sad that he missed out on their first Christmas Day! Even though Daddy was not there, the twins had a fabulous Christmas. Can you say VERY LOVED?? B&C were spoiled rotten this year by all of their grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and Mommy and Daddy! I know they really had no idea what was going on, but they loved all of the people that we were around for the holidays. They got to see all of our family in just a matter of two days. It was wonderful!!!! They received so many gifts and had a blast with every single one of them. Let's see....they got a wagon, a rocket ship, a rocking horse, 2 riding cars, clothes, books, a tea set, a purse, a tool belt, a cabbage patch doll, 2 babies, a leap frog, trucks, hot wheels, and the list just goes on and on. They got so many great gifts to play with, but we all know what they wanted to play with the most....boxes and tissue paper! You got it!!! Just like every other 9 month old, they were completely intrigued by the boxes and tissue paper. WHY? It would have been much cheaper if everyone would have just given them boxes and paper for Christmas. hee!hee! After a little while, we did finally get them away from the boxes and they were able to ride on their cars, rocket ship and horse and play with all of their toys. Brynlee loves her baby dolls and Chance loves his rocket ship. He thinks he is so big on that thing. It is hilarious! They were a lot of fun and there are so many stories to share, but I am only going to share one. This is priceless! Ready for this? As you all know or can tell by the photos, I have two very healthy twins on my hands. Thank you God! But our sweet princess seems to a little bit more on the healthy side these days. hee!hee! They both LOVE to eat and are such good eaters, but are only 9 months, so are still very limited on what they can eat. On Christmas Eve, we went to my in-laws (Pop and Noni) to celebrate with the Sean's family and they served the MOST delicious seafood entrees ever!!! Unfortunately, our little ones cannot eat such rich food, so instead they had Cheerios!!! YUMMY Cheerios! As we are all sitting down to dinner with the twins sitting in each of their highchairs, Cheerios are going everywhere. Just a little note about the highchairs...Noni is into antiques and has an antique highchair she bought when we started trying to have children. It is wooden, very small, no wheels or harness and the tray comes over the head instead of latching on. The other highchair is just a normal highchair with a detachable tray, 5 point harness and rollers. So since Chance is smaller, he sits in the antique chair and Brynlee in the new one. As we are all eating, I notice Brynlee reaching for Chance's highchair. In just a matter of seconds, Brynlee reaches over to Chance, grabs onto his highchair, "rolls" herself over to him and eats the Cheerios off of his tray. What in the world? I could not believe what I has just seen and my SIL Aimee witnessed it as well! My only daughter, with whom I obviously will need to teach better Southern manners, has really just figured out how to "roll" over to her brother and help herself to his food. What is a mother to do????
What fun they will be in the years ahead. I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas and enjoyed your family as much as I did mine!!!
