Hudson's Surgery

So June 13th was a very stressful day in the lives of the Carnes, Burroff, Forey families. Hudson Lee (our precious nephew as you all know) had heart surgery to patch a hole that he was born with in his heart. He was admitted to Texas Children's Hospital on June 12th and was scheduled for surgery the next morning. After 4 hours of surgery, 3 days in ICU, many long shifts of holding and kissing him, 4 days on the 15th floor, the scare of a 2nd surgery, another night in ICU, lots of praying, phone calls, tears, pacing up and down the halls, cups and cups of Starbucks, sleeping in chairs and waiting rooms, our sweet little Hudson was finally home with Mommy and Daddy and sleeping in his own bed! (All awhile this is going on, my fertility treatments are not put on hold and I am receiving Lupron injections in the bathroom of the ICU waiting room. Thanks to Steph and Alicia (B's sister in law), I did not have to stress about receiving my shots and they were more than happy to be able to say, "we helped her get pregnant." Anything to get the process moving along!! Thanks to them, I was still on track!) Back to Hudson.... Even though while in the hospital, an additional very microscopic sized hole was found in his heart, he was sent home without another surgery and is recovering great. God is good!!! His stitches are out and he loves to show off his "bo-bo" when asked about it. Thank you to everyone that kept up with his blog, said prayers, made phone calls and thought about him through the whole process.
