I have to admit, one thing about me is I have "OCD" when it comes to planning parties . My calling in life, was to be a party planner and I would give ANYTHING to do it full time. I love to plan baby showers, wedding showers, birthday parties, any type of party, I am ready to plan. Some of my blogging friends will appreciate this and completely relate to it and others will think that I am completely crazy! My children are 6 months old this Thursday) and I am already completely obsessed with planning their 1 year birthday party. I'm sure many of you know the newest trend with twins is the Cat in the Hat - Thing 1 Thing 2 theme. I have imagined this theme for them since the day we found out we were having twins. My life is consumed with Thing 1, Thing 2 and will be until March 2010. I have been shopping and buying like crazy, preparing for the biggest 1 year old birthday bash I can possibly provide for these two. (Crazy I know, they will not even remember it). I have always been told and completely believe that the 1st birthday bash is strictly for Mommy. And in our case also for Nana, Grammy, Nana Holly Noni, Aunt Steph & Aunt Aimee. I have lured my Mom and 2 most awesome SILs to the OCD side of party planning as well. hee!hee! I hope and pray that I am not the only Mommy that plans her babies 1st birthday 7 months in advance. Come on girls, you know you all are secretly obsessive too, at least I hope so anyway!!! Since this party is consuming my free time these days, just thought I would share a little of what I have purchased. This is how the obsession actually started so early. Steph found these Cat in the Hat bags in the dollar section at Target when school supplies started coming out on the shelves. We immediately jumped on them trying to locate 30 of the same bags. Steph, my Mom, Dad and Step-Mom all searched for matching bags at every local Target we could find. After a few days of searching, we found enough bags and filled them up with all kinds of goodies. This is just a little sneak peak at the favor bags for the twins party. Look for many more posts to come regarding the Thing 1 Thing 2 birthday bash!! Enjoy!
