Weekend in Dallas

This past weekend, we headed to Dallas to visit my BFF Tam! We had such a great time. They just returned in June from living in the Philippines for her husband Matt's job with Texas Instruments. We have spent time with them on a few separate occasions since their return, but this was a special trip to celebrate Tammy's 35th birthday and to see their new gorgeous home. We packed up the Highlander, loaded up the twins and headed to Plano. The twins did so well on the 4.5 hour trip, sleeping the majority of the time. We arrived to Dallas around 8pm and the spoiling of the twins did not stop until we left on Sunday. We've discovered that my little Brynlee is a major flirt. She has fallen IN LOVE with her Uncle Matt and would not take her eyes off of him. When he would look at her, talk to her or just touch her little hands, she would smile from ear to ear and would not stop until he was out of sight. We were cracking up the whole time. She was lovin' her some cutie Uncle Matt, it was hilarious!

Cade, Tam's 5 year old son, is a little ham. He is very entertaining and loves to be the center of attention. (got that from his Mommy, to all of youwho know her, you will agree) One night during dinner, he decided to put on a little show for us! We cranked up the music and he went to town. Click here to see him breakin' it down for the camera. He was cracking us up and was eating up the fact that he was able to entertain all of us. He is a mess and is truly Tam and Matts' little guy. The weekend was so fun and relaxing. The girls did some shopping and lunch, while the boys watched football all day. Thank you guys so much for the entertaining and relaxing weekend. As most of you know, Tamra is my party girl and instead of a huge crazy birthday celebration, she wanted to celebrate with us and the twins. It meant so much to us to celebrate her b-day! We love you guys! Cade Damon the barking dog!

While in Dallas, we visited my Aunt Debbie, Uncle Wayne (my Dad's brother), and cousin Jared with his wife Kendra. This was the first time for the twins to meet my Aunt and Uncle and they were so mesmerized by my Uncle, especially Brynlee. Since he and my Dad look a lot alike and sound alike, I think she was a little confused. She knew he was not her Papa, but he looked and sounded a lot like her Papa, so she wasn't' too sure at first. But when he finally held her and talked to her, she loved on him like she does my Dad. And he was able to put her right to sleep at nap time. It was so cute!!! We were able to get a few pics of everyone with the babies. Brynlee was still asleep, so she did not smile one time in these photos. Chance was smiling, but looked down the whole time. They are the hardest kids to take pics of!

The drive home was not as pleasant as the drive there. At about Huntsville, they were starting to get really restless and meltdowns were quickly approaching. I crawled in the backseat and calmed them down until they were finally relaxed and almost asleep. Here is what we saw the whole way home.

Crouchy pants!

Girl, we had a blast with you guys. I can not thank you enough for packing up the family and heading up here. I realize how long of a trip that is and how difficult it can be so I feel extra special you did it anyway. We love your babies SO freaking much, and I could not keep my hands off of them. You're right, my little man was quite jealous of all the love we showed those babies which is why he felt he had to enterain us the whole time to fill his need of loving. So funny! I truly enjoyed every minute we had together, and I am already counting down until we can be together again! Love you so much!

I love the one of Cade with the dog face. I didn't get any as clear as yours...will have to take one of my own to include somewhere. He cracks me up wearing that thing!

Wow! I am impressed! Melissa you have such a way with words and I can't wait for our next visit, it has been too long. Brynlee and Chance look so sweet and begging for a hug.
