Our nephew Hudson wanted to spend his 4th birthday here........
the train that leaves Palestine, Texas and heads to the North Pole (aka Rusk, Texas) was his birthday destination of choice! It is a 2 hour train ride to and from the North Pole. The birthday boy was very excited from the moment he mentioned wanting to do this for his big day, but when the day finally arrived and we headed to the train station, he suddenly had a change of heart.
As you can see, he was not too excited about the loud horn on the train and had a few moments that he refused to board. But we were all there to celebrate and we were not going without the birthday boy. So we all hopped on board and had so much fun!!!!!
While on the old train, the story of Polar Express was read and characters from the book were on board serving us hot cocoa and brownies, singing and dancing Christmas carols and entertaining us the whole ride. When we got to the North Pole, the BIG MAN himself hopped aboard and handed each guest a jingle bell along with lots of hugs and hand shakes. The twins were scared to death and very unsure of the man in the red suit, so no good pics with the twins and Santa. Hudson was a little skittish at first, but then said hello and gave him a great big smile!!!
It was so much fun and I know that every guest loved the trip to the North Pole and celebrating Hudson Lee's 4th birthday! I know the Forey Four will be back next year for another visit to the North Pole!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUDSON LEE!!!!
We love you!!!!
