Never could have made it....

without the cheerleaders along the way! It was so amazing to see all of the supporters from the city of Houston cheering on our cause. People we did not know, that did not even know us, cheered us on in the heat and the rain for 2 days. There were people on every street corner, every park, residential areas throughout the city, driving by honking, yelling and waving. For 2 days, we heard:

"You can do it!"

"Thank you for what you are doing"

"Almost there"

"God bless you"

"Blisters do not need chemo" (btw, one of my favs)

"Save the Ta-Ta's"

and many more inspiring words and gestures.

These ladies were walking together during our whole journey. Notice the signs on each of their backs...You-Me. The lady on the left was walking for herself and her friend was walking in honor of her. "Me" has 2 rounds of treatment left before starting radiation. She was a true inspiration to me and brought tears to my eyes a few times along the way. We ran into them many times during our walk and were able to spend a little time with them. Knowing what she was struggling with and watching her accomplish the same challenge that we were, made more inspired to continue doing what are doing. Me...you are an inspiration to us all and we pray for you as you continue this journey and as we strive to be IN IT TO END for woman like you everywhere!

These um ladies??? men???? were waiting for us at one of our quick stops along the way and we could not resist getting a photo and a little "feel-y-feel" while there! hee!hee!
